So do we want to set a date for our second Kikibee meet?! How about January? Middle? End? I’m totally open so far!

We’ve put everything that’s been in the art room into the guest room (ie. your room!) so we can work on it. We are going to be ripping down all the walls, re-insulating, then putting up drywall & painting before we can start setting it up as an art room. Geoff says that it’d take a few weekends to do… as long as we have the drywall up you guys could sleep in that room.

We also need to get a space heater for those rooms, they have no heat in ‘em! Haha! Instead of waiting until we get the new drywall up (which I really don’t know when that’ll happen with the puppy coming!) we could just put all the stuff that’s in the guest room into the upstairs hall while you guys are over - it’s really no biggie!

Lemmie know whach’er thinkin’! I’d say the sooner the funner, cuz I’m dying to hang out with you guys again!!!

Our first time at Anthrocon was a success, as was our first Kikibee meeting, we got a lot done at both events, the other girls more than myself but I did what I could! I really should have posted these after the events but I forgot, and now I don’t have much more to say other than… PICTURES! For AC I only have pictures of the night we didn’t sleep… Well Geoff slept… and I got a few hours in but I know Kina didn’t and I’m pretty sure Bev didn’t either! Those little troopers - I’m so proud of them! I guess cuz I’m old I can’t deal with it anymore.. haha. Anyway, enjoy!

That’s pretty much it, other than us being stuck behind a table we were running around the city looking for food, or holed up in our room working our fingers to the bone!

As for our first Kikibee meeting, it was SO much fun and we’re all looking forward to our next one in January/February. Hopefully I’ll remember to take more pictures. Though if it’s in late February there will be a little puppy Great Dane running around eating our markers… bwee! Um anyway, heh, here are a couple of pics of the meeting!

I think once I finish this one commission that I’ve been working on since forever,  I am going to start a list on Deviantart for bust commissions. That’s when you only draw the head and upper torso of a character and you charge lower than what you would charge for a full body; so it’s more of an incentive for people to commission you. What’s also good about bust commissions is that they don’t take nearly as long because there is no thinking about a pose or  drawing crazy angles or anything.

So after our first meeting when I will be finishing my *last* pending commission, I’m going to put a list up on Deviantart (and on here as well) of slots where people can get bust commissions done, and I will *only* work on them at the Kikibee meeting weekends. Sound good? Good. I thought so too :p

So it’s set! Our first ever Kikibee meeting is the second weekend in October (the 13th & 14th) 2007! All I’m going to be doing is (hopefully) finishing my overdue commissions and trades, not sure what kina & bev will be doing. Possibly the same thing! I’ll post pictures of us working our butts off at Anthrocon in my next post (I’m at work right now so I don’t have the pictures with me!).
